NFL Pro Pick’em – Official Rules of Play
Welcome to the Mackdaddy Sports NFL Pro Pick’em Challenge!
Think you know football? Put your knowledge to the test by predicting the winners of every NFL game throughout the season. Earn points for correct picks, climb the leaderboard, and compete against football fans all season long.
Every week is a new opportunity to gain ground in the standings.
Season Format
The NFL Pro Pick’em Challenge includes:
- 18 Regular Season Weeks
- Wild Card Round
- Divisional Round
- Conference Championships
- Super Bowl
Each week is scored separately while also contributing to your overall season total.
How to Play
Each week, you’ll predict the winner of every scheduled NFL game.
To participate:
- Open the current week’s Pick Sheet.
- Select the team you believe will win each game.
- Save your picks before the deadline.
You may edit your selections as often as you’d like until the first game locks.
Pick Deadline
Each game locks individually at its official scheduled kickoff time.
Once a game has locked:
- That pick cannot be changed.
- Other games that have not yet started remain available for editing.
- Locked games will be clearly identified on your Pick Sheet.
We recommend submitting your picks well before kickoff.
Weekly Scoring
You earn fantasy points for every correctly predicted game.
Your weekly total is the sum of all correct picks for that week’s schedule.
Each completed week is added to your season total.
Playoff Scoring
The NFL Playoffs are included as part of the season.
Playoff games may use a different point value than regular-season games to reflect their increased importance. Refer to the current season’s scoring settings for details.
Super Bowl Tie-Breaker
For the Super Bowl, each participant must also predict the combined total points scored by both teams.
If two or more players finish with the same fantasy score for the Super Bowl, the tie-breaker prediction will be used to determine the final order of finish.
The participant whose prediction is closest to the actual combined total points scored will receive the higher ranking.
Official Results
All fantasy scoring is based on the official NFL game results.
If the NFL later changes an official game result, Mackdaddy Sports reserves the right to update fantasy scoring accordingly.
Missed Picks
Games that are not picked before kickoff receive no points.
Previous week’s selections do not carry over.
Missing games or an entire week may significantly impact your season standings.
Weekly Leaderboards
Each completed week features its own leaderboard showing player performance for that event.
Weekly standings update after all games for that week have become official.
Season Leaderboard
Every week’s score contributes to your overall season ranking.
The season leaderboard includes:
- Overall Position
- Total Fantasy Points
- Points Behind Leader
- Average Points Per Week
- Weekly Scores
Standings are updated after each completed week.
User Dashboard
Your personal dashboard provides quick access to:
- Current NFL week
- Next game kickoff
- Weekly score
- Total season points
- Overall rank
- Previous picks
- League standings
Ties
If two or more participants finish tied in the overall standings, league tie-breaking procedures will determine the final order.
For the Super Bowl event, the combined total points prediction serves as the official tie-breaker.
Sportsmanship
The NFL Pro Pick’em Challenge is designed to provide a fun and competitive experience for football fans.
Participants are expected to compete fairly.
Any attempt to manipulate scoring, exploit software issues, or interfere with league operation may result in score adjustments or removal from the competition.
General Rules
- One account per participant.
- Picks are based on official NFL schedules.
- All scoring is determined using official NFL game results.
- Mackdaddy Sports reserves the right to correct scoring errors.
- League administrators may modify league settings or rules to improve gameplay.
- Continued participation constitutes acceptance of these rules.
