Welcome to the Mackdaddy Sports NCAA March Madness Bracket Challenge!
The NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament is one of the most exciting events in sports. Build your bracket, predict each game’s winner, and compete against other basketball fans for the top spot on the leaderboard.
One tournament. One bracket. Endless excitement.
Tournament Format
The Mackdaddy Sports Bracket Challenge follows the official NCAA Men’s Division I Basketball Championship.
The tournament includes 68 teams competing in a single-elimination bracket.
Once a team loses, it is eliminated from the tournament.
Your goal is to correctly predict the winner of every game from the First Round through the National Championship.
How to Play
Before the tournament begins:
- Open the Bracket Challenge.
- Complete your bracket by selecting the winner of every matchup.
- Continue selecting winners through each round until you have chosen a National Champion.
- Enter your Championship Game tie-breaker prediction.
- Save your completed bracket before the deadline.
You may edit your bracket as often as you’d like before picks lock.
Pick Deadline
All brackets lock at the official start time of the first NCAA Tournament game.
After the tournament begins:
- No changes may be made.
- No teams may be replaced.
- Championship predictions cannot be edited.
- Tie-breaker predictions are locked.
Be sure to submit your completed bracket before the deadline.
Tournament Rounds
Your bracket includes every round of the NCAA Tournament:
- First Round
- Second Round
- Sweet 16
- Elite Eight
- Final Four
- National Championship
Correctly advancing teams through each round is the key to earning points.
Scoring
Fantasy points are awarded for every correctly predicted game.
As the tournament progresses, later rounds become increasingly valuable.
The official point values for each round are determined by the league scoring system.
Championship Tie-Breaker
When submitting your bracket, you must also predict the combined total points scored in the National Championship Game.
If two or more participants finish with the same fantasy score, the tie-breaker prediction will determine the final order of finish.
The participant whose prediction is closest to the actual combined total points scored by both teams will receive the higher ranking.
Official Results
All scoring is based on the official NCAA Tournament results.
If the NCAA makes an official correction affecting a game’s outcome, Mackdaddy Sports reserves the right to update fantasy scoring accordingly.
Missed Brackets
If a completed bracket is not submitted before the deadline:
- You will not participate in the tournament.
- Late entries are not permitted after picks have locked.
Leaderboards
Throughout the tournament you can track your progress on the leaderboard.
Standings include:
- Overall Position
- Total Points
- Points Behind Leader
- Round-by-Round Scores
Leaderboards are updated after official game results are recorded.
User Dashboard
Your personal dashboard allows you to quickly view:
- Tournament progress
- Current standing
- Total points
- Round scores
- Completed bracket
- Leaderboard position
Ties
If two or more participants finish with the same total fantasy points, the Championship Game combined total points prediction will determine the final standings.
If a tie still remains after applying the tie-breaker, tied participants will share the finishing position unless otherwise determined by league administration.
Sportsmanship
The Mackdaddy Sports Bracket Challenge is intended to provide a fair and enjoyable experience for everyone.
Participants are expected to compete honestly and respectfully.
Any attempt to exploit software issues or manipulate league results may result in score adjustments or removal from the competition.
General Rules
- One bracket per participant.
- All scoring is based on official NCAA Tournament results.
- Mackdaddy Sports reserves the right to correct scoring errors.
- League administrators may update rules or scoring procedures when necessary to improve gameplay.
- Continued participation constitutes acceptance of these rules.
